Waterfalls like this don't just stumbleupon. Especially in rural St. Andrew. If you're not living on this side of the island you'll definitely have no business up this side in the mountains. There are little to no public transportation in these areas, so the road is pretty much lonely. The drive is long and the roads are narrow if that doesn't get to you, then the potholes decorating the road will certainly do. What could've been a short trip took hours due to poor roads condition. Doesn't seem like the members of these community voted (Inside joke) SMH.. If you don't own a Jeep, Pickup or Tractor etc don't even attempt to take on this journey.
Poor road conditions
I am somewhat clueless to the actual name of this waterfall, my good friend Kyle from Instagram told me about it a few years back and even sent me the pin and advised me which direction to drive to get there because the roads were in very poor conditions. While driving to the location I remembered why I waited so long to go. DI ROAD BAD!!! If you do decide to visit this spot the sensible thing to do is to go early, with a group and don't be in a hurry to get back into the city. There is really no need for that since the traffic is non-existent, if you're not the one driving sit back and enjoy the views.

On Wednesday March 2, 2022 I left home 10am with another curious soul as myself. We drove to Gordon Town square and then turned right and continued. We stopped a few times along the journey and asked for directions to see if we're heading in the right directions, even though I had the pin for the location we were heading. This was for the reassurance of the person driving lol. When we got to the location it was around midday, You can actually see the waterfalls from the road way if you have an eye for such things lol.
View of the falls from the main road
We took our backpacks from the car and started the mini hike down hill. We had to walk through somebody's yard to get to it and also get help from a small boy who we paid to show us the way from his house to the falls.
See my YouTube video for a small preview of the entire journey.
However we didn’t get to swim because algae took over the river bed. Nevertheless it was still so beautiful. St. Peter was tall and handsome as heaven. I was in complete bliss. I could just imagine what it's like without the algae.

There is no guarantee when chasing waterfalls sometimes you hit the jackpot and sometimes you just have to revisit, in this case I will.

Ya estoy de vueltah!!! Hola amigos (amigas) I’m back, Happy new year. I know I’ve been MIA but I promise to be consistent this year. With that being said, come along with me for part of my day as we go waterfall hunting internationally. Yes!!! International waterfall story time. On November 2, 2023 my friend and I decided to drive 45 minutes from Medellin to Retiro to see a waterfall which is suited on the Rio Negro river. Getting to the waterfall was pretty easy, thanks to Google Maps. The waterfall is visible from the road and does not require hiking. I was in a trance when I laid eyes on this magnificent cascade. The water flew down the giant, sun baked rocks like milk from heaven and ran away fast into a tiny but swift stream. Surrounded by tall, lush green trees and soft beds of grass, makes it easy for an ideal picnic spot. In no time I was in my bikini, breathing in the sweet flowers perfuming the air and humming the roar of water droplets pattering aga...
Hola desde República Dominicana. Come along with me for a part of my day as I go waterfall hunting in another Spanish speaking country and all I know is basic Spanish that can not save my life if I run into problems. I am in Puerto Plata for a good time, not a long time, with a full itinerary. Waterfall hunting can be a wild goose chase and could be twice as hard in a Spanish speaking country. I was already off to a late start because we had to drive three and a half hours from Santo Domingo the night before. And boy oh boy I thought driving in my home country was wild. When I visited Medellin I thought that country had to be the worst to drive in but I was so wrong. Driving in Dominican Republic is suicidal, there are no triffic lights at the major intersections, just imagine how crazy that is. January 14, 2024 we drove about half an hour to a community called Camu, turned off on a dirt road t o find the starting point to a hiking trail that should lead to a w...
I am clueless as to the actual name of this waterfall or if it even has a name. The young man that gave me the tour said it's called Big Spring but I doubt that's the correct name. I recently found out about it, when one of my adventurer friends asked me if I knew it or have any information on how to find it. According to her the girl who posted it on Instagram refused to give info on it, claiming that she doesn't remember how to get there or have a contact for the person who gave her the tour. Few days later I insisted that we should go chase waterfalls and that was the target. I knew a community that Swift River flows through so on November 21, 2021 just a few days before my birthday we decided to search for it, like it was lost LMAO. We left Kingston earl-ish and headed for my favorite parish. Can you guess which one it is?... YES!!! It's PORTLANDDDDDDDD!!!! Upon reaching the community that I was assuming the waterfall would be, we saw a young man walking. We stopped...
