Nanny Falls, Moore Town Portland (Folly Lighthouse) (Tooba Spring)

Image
Nanny Falls I always wanted to visit Nanny Falls but never seems to have company to go so I decided to save it for last. About a month ago I saw a flier on Instagram advertising a trip there. I messaged and asked a question but not long after I totally forgot about it. Too many waterfalls rushing through my mind and I wanna see the unique ones first lol. Plus This month (April) has been really good to me. I've seen some new waterfalls Big River (Lime Ha ll) and Marston Spring (Spanish River ). I also revisited Stewart Mountain.   I also got some beach days in and I finally got a good photo of the waterfalls in Ocho Rios, so as you can see it's been a perfect month for me. Nanny Falls Fast-forward to April 21, the host for the trip I messaged about a month back reached out to me two days before the trip to offer me an exclusive deal. I don't like doing much on my sabbath however I accepted the offer, bear in mind that I've never gone on a bus trip with people I don'...

Big River, New Grounds (Lime Hall)

Big River (Lime Hall) This wasn't a planned trip, well the plan was to go April 24, 2022 but the world is celebrating Easter and it's going to be a long weekend. Charles called me last night asking if we could go tomorrow instead, so we decided to go today April 15 instead. I had made a link with someone who knew where the waterfall was a few days ago. He gave me a price per person, then made an instagram page with a different price blah blah. After researching the area last night, we decided to just drive down and ask questions. L et me just say I don't usually have a problem paying people for their time when they show me a waterfall. We drove the old road then took the back road to St. Ann's Bay. I had an idea of the community we were going to and once we were there we stopped and asked to be sure. We drove some more, then stopped when we saw a group of young people standing along the roadside to ask if we were close to the river. A young man by the name of Ramone to...

Stewart Mountain Falls, Rio Nuevo (St. Mary)

Image
Stewart Mountain Falls Situated in the cool hills of Stewart Mountain, resting on the edge of the Rio Nuevo is home to what the locals call Stewart Mountain Falls. I knew there was a waterfall in the area but for some strange reason every time I sat out to find it I always ended up at Sugar Pot Ruin Beach. Sugar Pot is one of my favorite beaches, it used to be my every Wednesday spot. It wasn't until August 22, 2020 in the middle of the pandemic that I really sat out to find it. The road to this gem is winding and lined with potholes. Upon reaching close to the community I saw two ladies and some kids dressed in swim wear so I asked them how to get to the waterfalls they told me that the community wasn't open to strangers and the river was closed lmao. These ladies got jokes KMT! The road was lonely but I continued driving until I saw a taxi coming from the opposite direction. I asked for direction and the driver told me to turn back and turn right at the yellow bus stop.  When...
